Ciel is a Neko?!

1.

His Butler, Surprised

“SSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEBBBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAASSSSSSIIIIIIIIAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!” Ciel screamed through the mansion and of course, Sebastian came running. He threw open the earl’s door. It was around three in the morning so naturally, Sebastian had been awake. Demons didn’t need sleep. Sebastian appeared in his doorway in an open white shirt and pants. His hair was tousled and Sebastian nearly told the boy to look away so he could dress properly but instead fell back into the wall, his eyes bulging out of his head.

“B-boc-chan!?” stuttered Sebastian as he held back a major nose bleed. Ciel sat in his nightclothes, tears in his eyes, rubbing a long fury tail that emerged from beneath his shirt. Twitching ears were there on top of his head and he looked distraught.

“W-what happened!?” he asked staring in horror at his half dressed butler. Sebastian was too surprised to answer. He wanted to do many things at once; 1. Make out with this cat boy passionately, 2. Find out what he did with Ciel, 3. Run, and 4. Laugh. He bit his lip.

“Well, uh –“

“I just woke up and scratched my head and felt ears and, and, and –“ he started to cry. Why was this so traumatizing for him? he walked forward, buttoning his shirt and put a hand on the boy’s shoulder. he looked him in the eye and wrapped his arms around him. Ciel was startled at first but then Sebastian felt the boy grip his shoulder and felt hot tears on his shoulder.

“My lord, why does this upset you so much?” said Sebastian as softly as he could. Ciel stopped crying and wiped off his tears.

“I. . .I don’t know.” He said wrapping his arms around his knees as he brought them into his chest. Sebastian sighed and pulled at his ears.

“Ow!” cried the young earl as he swatted at the butler’s fingers.

“You’re just so cute, young master!” he said smiling and blushing. Ciel hissed and clawed at his face like any annoyed kitten would. That just made Sebastian chuckle. He tickled under Ciel’s chin and scratched behind his ears and soon enough, the blue haired boy started to purr and was curled up in Sebastian’s lap. His cheeks were flushed and he laughed. Actually laughed.

“See? You are oh so cute, bocchan.” He said smiling. Ciel giggled and looked up at the demon and rolled onto his back. Sebastian smiled and rubbed his torso. You could say it was an intimate situation but Ciel obviously liked being pampered by Sebastian and didn’t care if someone saw that it could ruin the whole name of Phantomhive.  He curled back up in his butler’s lap and purred against his leg, causing blood to seep out of Sebastian’s nose. He wiped it away, surprised. Why was he getting a nose bleed? Was it the weather? Ciel giggled and took his finger, got some blood from Sebastian chin and licked.

“Mmm. . .” said the young lord. He frowned, sticking his tongue out. “It tastes nasty.” He said wrinkling his nose. Sebastian laughed.

“I’m a demon, bocchan. What’d you think my blood would taste like?”

“Hmmm. . . .” he said, thinking. “Bitter.” Said Ciel snapping his fingers. Sebastian sighed.

“That’s what everyone thinks these days.” He said placing a hand on his forehead but when he looked back down at the boy in his lap, he was sleeping soundly on his leg, his tail tickling his forehead. Picking up the sleeping boy, Sebastian put him under the covers and tucked him in. sometimes, just sometimes like these moments or when he fell asleep in his study and had to carry him in bed, Sebastian felt this strange feeling of protection. Like a father.

But of course he wasn’t Vincent Phantomhive. That was who Ciel would always think was his father. No one else. His mother would always be Rachael Phantomhive. Sebastian Michaelis would always just be another person. No one special. Feeling a bit depressed, the butler stood by the window and looked out at the sky. He rarely thought of the future. Maybe he might think of the delicious taste of Ciel’s soul as he devoured it but never the future about the two of them. What would happen when Ciel started to grow up? Got married? Had a son of his own? Would Sebastian be cast aside like a knight that was no long in need? Would he find another pawn to replace the knight or let the queen decide? And what of Ciel’s child? Would it actually work with him and lady Elizabeth? He wouldn’t age and once they wanted to have a child, Ciel would have to explain to her the mark on his side and his eye. He’d have to explain everything about Sebastian and it wasn’t his secret to tell. Now angry with the earl, Sebastian stormed out of the room and back to his own.

He hadn’t realized it had been almost seven until he heard Mey-rin getting ready. He sat up in his bed and rubbed his eyes. He hadn’t slept – truly not needing to – and yet he felt tired. What was the point of living as a person who could never have their love returned? Could Sebastian even love? They feel emotions like hatred, depression, sorrow, anger, madness but never love. Maybe he could feel a strong obsession with a certain person, or could feel protective over an individual but that didn’t count as love. Not even close. Hating himself for the first time in his life, he walked to his closet to grab cloths. He slipped on his gloves to finalize the outfit and walked to the kitchen to make tea, iron the newspaper, and get Ciel’s breakfast. He walked into the kitchen to see Finny talking to Bard as he sat at the table smoking.

“Morning, Sebastian!” said Finny happily. Sebastian smiled back warmly.

“Good morning, Finny.” He said and started to make the tea. Once he had prepared the tea, put out a small fire, and caught Mey-rin, twice, he walked down the hall to his master’s room.  He opened the door to find the young master not in his bed but tangled in the sheets on the floor asleep. He still had the cat ears from last night and the little tail that wriggled from under his nightshirt. Sniffling back blood, he opened the window.

“Time to wake up, bocchan. Today we have an interesting set of news for you to read and your breakfast consist of a croissant with raspberry jam with Earl Grey tea.” Said Sebastian as he poured his master some tea.

“Meh! I don’t wanna get up!” he wined as he curled back up on the pile of blanket. Sebastian’s eyes grew wide as his little cat eyes began to pout.

“No. you must work today, master.” Said Sebastian plainly. Ciel leaned down and forward into a lunge like pout making his nightshirt ride up his waist. . .

Sebastian’s eyes flickered away fast.

“You still have to get up, master.” Sebastian said. “And there is work to be done.”

Ciel whined.

“But it’s so booorrriiinnnngggg!” whimpered Ciel. Sebastian glared.

“Are you truly testing your loyalty to her majesty?”

“The Queen!? Where!?” said Ciel startled and by seeing the confused look on Sebastian’s face, he started to giggle.

“This isn’t funny, my lord –“

“Yes it is! You should’ve seen your face!” Ciel said falling over with laughter.

“Alright then.” The demon muttered. “If you won’t do it, I might have to make you.”

2.

His Butler, Annoyed

Ciel sat in his chair munching on sweets while flipping through paperwork.

“Factory this and factory that and her majesty wants this and blah, blah, BLAH.” He said and tossed another strawberry into his mouth. Sebastian was gone to clean something and he was bored now. He secretly stood up and tiptoed to the door. He slipped into the quiet hallway and down to the servant’s hall. Mey-rin was moping the floor, Finny was being scolded by Sebastian and Bard was repaving the wall. Again.

“Excuse me everyone!” Ciel said happily. Everyone looked up and Sebastian got this horrified face.

“E-ears.. .!” was all Mey-rin muttered. Ciel giggled and pulled at them.

“You like them? They grew last night along with this.” He said and wriggled his tail at them. The three servants ran behind Sebastian.

“What were you going to say, master?” asked Sebastian a bit annoyed.

“I want to have a ball tomorrow night!” he announced. They never had balls.

“A-a ball!?” asked Finny stepping out from behind Sebastian. Ciel nodded.

“It will be a party of games and tricks. There will be multiple games that my guests can amuse themselves with and Sebastian will put on a magic show with Grell.”

Sebastian’s eyes popped.

“Master!” he roared his eyes flickering to red. Ciel looked at his nails and sighed.

“I suppose you don’t have to. Unless you want to break the –“

“Fine. Of course I’ll do it.” He said. “If I couldn’t do that. . .” he thought miserably. “Then what kind of butler would I be?”

“A normal one?” muttered Bard, answering Sebastian’s question. Sebastian glared.

“Alrighty! I’m going upstairs to design the party games!” he said and wriggled his fingers and disappeared down the hall. Sebastian grabbed his collar and lifted him off the ground.

“Put me down! Sebbbaaaaassssttttiiiiiaaaannn!” he whined as he squirmed around and around.

“You still have work to do.” He said and with a humph. He walked upstairs hearing the naughty retorts of his master.

“Does he seem different to you guys?” asked Bard. Mey-rin’s nose started bleeding.

“I thought Sebastian was so protective carrying him up there like that and how much Sebastian likes cats! Oooooo, it gets me all tingly, yes it does!” she cried blushing.

“He seems . . “ said Finny tapping his chin.

“Gay?”

“No. well, maybe but more off.” He said and they all shrugged and went back to work.

_

Ciel sat staring at the book, his eyes drooping and Sebastian’s voice going into one ear and out the other.

“Are you paying attention to the lesson, my Lord?” asked Sebastian but Ciel had already fallen asleep on his book, drooling. Sebastian frowned.

“Bocchan?” he asked.

“Sebastian did it!” he said as he sat up straight in his chair. He blinked and rolled his eyes and yawned. “I was a-sleep.” He said popping the ‘p.’

“Yes you were. Now If we can get back to your lessons –“

“When am I ever going to need to know the perimeter of my shadow!?” cried the neko.

“I guess you can plan for your ball since it’s tomorrow –“ Sebastian sighed.

“Oh yes! Thank you Sebastian!” he said clapping his hands happily.

“What sort of games will you be playing at this ball?” asked the demon packing up his books.

“I was thinking, when it gets late, we should play a game where everyone has to choose a name out of a hat and the whoever the person got, they have to spend 7 minutes in a closet together.”

“And what will they do in the closet?”

“They will have to drink a vile before entering, enhancing their sexual senses and –“

“I understand. But what if men get paired up together? Or woman?” asked Sebastian.

“It’s not against the rules.” He said smiling wickedly. Sebastian sighed.

“Who are you inviting to this ball?” asked Sebastian taking out a notebook.

“Hm. Lizzie, Lou, Ran Moa, Agni, Prince Soma, Grell, Alois, Claude, -“ and he went to name off some of his higher ups in the company staff. Sebastian nodded and glared at his master.

“Really? must we invite the Trancys?” he asked coldly.

“Yes. We must.” He said crossing his arms. He frowned, popping open his eye.

“Something wrong?” Ciel asked Sebastian. He almost sounded like his old self.

“I just don’t think it is wise to play such games.” He said.

“Oh? Worried you’ll miss the fun? Don’t worry. Servants are invited as well.” He said.

Sebastian’s face changed to a sickened expression.

“Master –“

“No buts, Sebastian. Now go tell the servants and send out the invitations while I decide what to wear.” He said and stared at his butler. “Now off you pop!” he said and the butler turned and walked swiftly out the door.

3.

His Butler, Feeling Sexual

Ciel lied on his bed, staring at the ceiling, waiting for Sebastian. The butler came in and the neko jumped up smiling.

“Kon’nichiwa, Sebas-chan!” he said happily. Sebastian started to slip off his master’s shoes.

“So you have been paying attention during foreign language lessons.” He said undoing his socks.

“I find it interesting. Japanese isn’t my favorite language but I just like how it sounds.” He said smiling. Sebastian undid his shirt and for once, the neko blushed. He saw Sebastian’s reaction to his sudden blush.

“Do you wish to touch me, Sebastian?” he whispered, looking up in an innocent position, his arms loosely hugging himself. Sebastian was startled.

“No, of course not my lord –“

“I know you do, demon.” He whispered, leaning into the demon and lied down on his chest, purring softly. The demon couldn’t hide his boner. “Are you hard yet?” he whispered chewing Sebastian’s ear. Blood seeped out of Sebastian nose and Ciel giggled.

“I knew it.” He said and placed his lips onto the demon’s. Sebastian was so shocked, he didn’t move. His eyes bulged and the little neko wrapped his arms around Sebastian’s neck gasping against their touch. Ciel pulled away, his face flushed and his voice was pained when he pulled Sebastian’s hand to the boy’s waist.

“T-touch me.” he whispered in his ear and Sebastian responded.

“I can’t.” he said plainly. The neko moved the butler’s hand to the front of his short and Sebastian blushed heavily.

“Yes you can. You just did.” Ciel whispered. Sebastian closed his eyes.

“It’s improper –“

“I need you to touch me, Sebastian.” Whispered the boy wrapping his legs around his waist forcing their fronts to touch. That was enough for Sebastian. He pushed the boy down onto the bed and kissed him furiously. Ciel gasped from the sudden excitement and he kissed his butler. It was more beautiful then Ciel could’ve imagined. The person he loved most in the world was touching him, kissing him, with an uneasy gentleness. He glanced at the now naked butler who was enjoying this as much as Ciel. Ciel got a moan from his butler when he touched in front and with every thrust came a moan from the boy.

They both climaxed together and laid in Ciel’s messy bed, wrapped in each other’s warmth. Ciel snuggled into him and sucked the butler’s sweet spot making Sebastian sigh.

“What if I said I loved you?” whispered the earl.

“I wouldn’t know what to say.” Said the butler. Ciel nodded.

“I understand.”

“That isn’t what I meant, bocchan.” Sebastian said lifting the boy’s face up to meet his.

“Bocchan.”

“Yes?”

“Bocchan.” He said a little more urgent.

“What is it?”

“Bocchan!”

__

Ciel sat up straight in his bed, rubbing his eyes. Sebastian was bending over him with a candle stick in his hand, the erie glow of the candles casting shadows along Sebastian’s beautiful features.

“It was. . .a dream?” whispered the neko. Sebastian tilted his head to the side and scratched behind the kitten-boy’s ear.

“Silly master. What did you dream of my lord?” he asked. Ciel forced himself not to cry.

“Nothing. Now leave at once.” He said weakly. “That is an order.”

“Sleep well, master.” Smiled Sebastian and walked out of the room. Ciel sat on his bed, tears rolling down his cheek. He felt his knees being brought into his chest and he hugged them close. He started to cry. What was this horrible feeling? This weight on his chest? This pain in his stomach? The pounding of his heart in his ears?

“It was a dream!” he said through clenched teeth. “All a bloody dream!” he said and wished the pain would stop. He wanted to get rid of this pain. Sebastian wasn’t here to comfort him. no one was. He was so alone. He had no mother to hug him or kiss his forehead goodnight. He had no father to give him piggy back rides and make him laugh or pick him up into the air. He didn’t have a lover to hold him, to kiss him, to touch him. no brother or sister to tell his feelings to. No friend to tell him what he should do. He had no one.

Except Sebastian.

“Sebastian!” cried Ciel. “Sebastian! Sebastian! SEBASTIAN!” he said through sobbing tears. He shouted his name until the butler burst into his room followed by three scared servants. Sebastian walked over to the crying boy.

“Master. . .” he moved to touch the boy but Ciel slapped his hand back.

“No! I can’t bear you to touch me! not ever!” he said.

“What are you three goggling at? Go back to bed.” Snapped Sebastian and the servants skittered back to bed. Ciel ripped at his hair.

“Make it go away! Make it go away, Sebastian!” cried Ciel. His tone broke the demon’s un beating heart. There was a sudden BUM-BUM in his chest and Sebastian gasped. Ciel didn’t seem to notice. He placed a hand on Ciel’s temple and erased the dream.

“I understand master. You had a nightmare. All is well now. Go back to sleep.” Said Sebastian as he watched the boy slip towards his pillows.

4.

His Butler, Struggling

Ciel woke up, his eyes hurting. He went to feel them and felt tear crust. Tears? When was he crying? He couldn’t remember. The only time he would’ve been crying was if he’d had a nightmare. He didn’t remember having any nightmares. Well, whatever had happened, it was over now. He rolled back over, snuggling into the pillows. He did feel rather sad. Depressed. Oh! But tonight was his ball! He smiled in spite of himself and fell back to sleep.

Three hours later, he was awoken again by Sebastian.

“Ohayo. (good morning)  . .” he said sleepily. Sebastian opened the window and frowned at his master.

“Why are you all of sudden speaking Japanese?” asked Sebastian.

“Watashi wa shiranai (I don’t know) –“ he gasped. Why was he speaking another language!? He covered his mouth with his hand.

“Repeat after me; I am Ciel Phantomhive.” Said Sebastian calmly.

“Watashi wa, (I am) Ciel Phantomhive.” He said then slapped his mouth again.

“No. say, ‘I’”

“I.”

“Okay. We’re getting somewhere.”

“Watashi wa kono no izureka o rikai shite inai! (I don’t understand any of this!)” cried Ciel.

“Just relax and try to say something in English.”

“I. . .like. . .cake.” he said slowly. They practiced this for about another ten minutes until he was talking normally.

“That was so scary, Sebas-chan!” cried Ciel. Sebastian patted the boy on his head as Ciel buried his face in Sebastian’s coat.

“Well it’s over now. Time to go prepare for the ball tonight.” He said and at this, the neko’s ears sprang up and Ciel smiled a brilliant smile.

____

Ciel stood in his grey and purple outfit at the top of the stairs gazing out over his acquaintances. Lizzie was in a bright pink dress with a huge blue bow and he spotted Alois in an orange waist coat with matching black coat with a huge orange bow. He smirked at the boy and removed his hat where little blonde ears twitched and he placed his hat back on. Ciel walked down the stairs giving a warm welcome to everyone until he spotted Sebastian. He was dressed elegantly in a black suit and his eyes sparkled. Mey-rin was dressed in the stunning red dress he’d picked out for her and bard was dressed in a white suit with Finny who was sporting a black suit and green tie.

After awhile, the games went on and everyone was having such a great time until midnight.

“Alright everyone! Time for the game of the evening. If you wish to stay out of this game, you may, but those who are brave enough to take part are welcomed gratefully! The games rules are this; one must right his or her name on a piece of paper and put it in a hat. Then, they all pick names and whoever you pick, you have to go into that room and drink this little vile and stay in there for 7 whole minutes.” Smiled the neko. Some people shook their heads but others looked determined.

“Let the game begin!” he cried and everyone went to write their name on the designated piece of paper. Once everyone had done so and the pieces were in the hat, Ciel shook them up and passed everyone the hat. Some got their paper and blushed and decided to forfeit. Many did. The only ones left was Alois, Claude, the Triplets, Hannah, Sebastian, Ciel, Lizzie, Grell, and Ciel. He felt his nose start to bleed when he looked at the name printed there;

SEBASTIAN MICHAELIS.

Lizzie got one of the triplets and she soon forfeited and so did that triplet, Thompson. Timber got Canterbury and they both laughed. Alois got Claude, and Hannah got Grell. Grell left. And so did Hannah. The first ones to go were Alois and Claude. They walked up to the door, took the vile and entered the room. After 7 minutes, Sebastian opened the door to see Alois kissing Claude furiously. Sebastian closed the door and decided to take the game to another room. Next to go was Timber and Canterbury. They both shrugged, took the vile and entered the room. After the seven minutes, Sebastian nervously opened the door to –

“Got any fives?” asked Timber glancing at the cards in his hands. Canterbury flipped through his own and shrugged.

“Go fish.”

Ciel sighed.

“Your time is up.” He said and the two quietly packed up their cards, whispering while they did. Once they were out of the room, it was Ciel and Sebastian’s turn.

His Butler, Maybe in Love

Ciel walked forward while a nervous Sebastian followed as they plucked the vile out of Canterbury’s slender fingers.

“Good luck.” He whispered into Ciel’s ear, causing him to grow red.

They both walked into the closet, closed the door and Ciel shrugged.

“Here goes nothing.” He said and gulped it’s contents down and so did the butler.

Suddenly, Ciel felt a strange feeling wash over him. it was a cold, horrid feeling of sorrow and pain and his mind became clear again, his lips sagging down into a frown. By looking upon the butler’s face, the earl crossed his arms angrily.

“What are you staring at?” asked Ciel. Sebastian motioned for him to touch the top of his head and when he did, there weren’t any cat ears.

“Wha –“

“The vile. It must’ve been an antidote.” Said Sebastian. Ciel suddenly saw the butler in a new way. Hair shining, lips gleaming, eyes memorizing. He walked forward, wanting to touch that soft skin, hair, lips.

“We still took the vile.” Whispered Ciel as the demon’s eyes closed and he leaned in to kiss the younger boy. Ciel climbed on top of Sebastian’s feet and lifted himself up on his tipie toes to reach Sebastian’s lips. They touched ever so slightly and Ciel felt his face burn. He then took control of the kiss, pressing Sebastian’s neck deepening the embrace. The kiss seemed to last an eternity. So much love, so much passion, in one tiny kiss.  . .the demon didn’t know what to make of it. Could he ever feel for his dinner? And if so. . .how could he eat his love’s soul? It would kill him. but he was ever so hungry. . .no. that wasn’t the focus. The focus was the tiny earl in his arms, kissing him with all the love that he could manage.

“I never thought. . .” breathed the earl. “That I could ever feel for you in such a way. You’re my butler. I shouldn’t love you. But yet, I do.”

Sebastian smiled against his lips.

“I’m dealing with the same problem, master. I can’t decide whether I love you or if this is something surreal made by the vile we took upon entering this room.” Gasped the butler. Ciel’s stomach tightened.

“Don’t say that.” He whispered touching their foreheads. “I promise you, I will love you even after we leave this room.”

Sebastian smiled just as the door creaked open. They looked at each other and took their “we weren’t kissing,” poses.

“Honestly, Sebastian. Did you really think that vile would work on me?” asked Ciel looking at his fingernails. Alois looked put out.

“So nothing happened!? You are ever so boring Ciel. Come on, Claude. We’re going home.” Hissed Alois and Sebastian bit his lip, trying not to laugh.

Later when all the guests had left, Ciel was left with three servants thanking him over and over again and a happy butler. He told them he was going to bed and he pretended to collapse half way to the stairs and Sebastian caught him.

“Dear me. the young master has been tired out.” Sebastian said, cradeling the boy. The three servants “awed” at the sweet child and returned to their chores as the butler carried the pirate boy up the steps.

“Can you stay with me, Sebastian?” Ciel muttered as the butler went to leave. He smiled.

“Yes, my lord.”

THE END.

6.

His Butler, What’s Next?

Ciel woke up the next morning to see Sebastian opening his curtains, the warm sunlight flooding into the room, making the demon look more like an angel, washed in sunlight. Ciel, more than happy to his love, smiled in spite of himself and the butler smiled as well.

“Good morning my lord.” Smiled the demon. This warm, slightly uncomfortable feeling took over Ciel and he felt his cheeks heat. Just being near his butler was overwhelming as hell.

He slid out of bed and placed both of his slim arms around his waist. The butler smiled and turned around to face his master. Then, Ciel climbed on top of the demon’s shoes to reach his lips and locked them. Helping out the much smaller boy, Sebastian picked up Ciel and placed him on the bed so as he could reach better.

“Getting excited, are we?” asked his master, who of course, had taken it the wrong way. Sebastian though was taken by the sudden idea and pushed the younger boy onto the bed while Ciel gasped at the sudden friction.

“S-Sebastian. . .” Ciel said clawing at the butler back while slipping their lips together and tracing his tongue along the demon’s teeth. Sebastian soon found his hands linking up Ciel’s back under his nightshirt.

“Take it off.” Whispered the boy and Sebastian was more then happy to do so. Next thing he knew, both were undressed. Ciel prepared himself as he had done in the dream and Sebastian pushed in, gaining a loud moan from Ciel. His cheeks were flushed and his teeth were clenched.

“You need to loosen up, my lord. It is getting rather difficult.” Frowned Sebastian.

“S-sorry.” Ciel said and tried to relax. He must’ve done something for when Sebastian entered again, Ciel gave a loud “SEBASTIAN!” of pleasure and sank towards the mattress in utter bliss.

Tired and wet, Ciel sighed and rolled over in his bed to see the butler, propped up on one arm, slowly caressing Ciel’s soft cheeks.

“I love you, you know?” smiled Ciel.

“Yes Bocchan. And I love you too. But one question; I cannot eat your soul, it would kill me. So. What’s next?” asked the butler.

Ciel couldn’t think of the right answer.

“Can we not focus on the future? Can we just be in the present? The future is a scary void of utter darkness that I hope we can endure together but the present is still light and may not be happy but lying here with you is something I’ve wanted for so long so please don’t ruin it.” Smiled the young master. Sebastian sighed and twirled a piece of blue-grey hair making Ciel sigh.

“Whatever you wish, master, I will forever be by your side. As your butler, as your friend, or as your lover.”

“Thank you, Sebastian. Now stop calling ‘master’. Call me Ciel.”

“Yes, my Lord. I mean Ciel.”

Ciel giggled. Actually giggled at the sounding of his name.

“I’ve always wanted you to say that to me.”

“What? Your name?” he quizzed.

“Yes, Sebastian.” He said and leaned forward and brushed their lips. Sebastian curled his hand around the nape of Ciel’s neck, drawing them closer, deepening the kiss. And honestly, Ciel wanted to stay there forever, but knew that there was darkness ahead.

As long as he had Sebastian, there would never be darkness.

But what happened when Sebastian got too hungry and broke off the contract?

No.

He mustn’t think of that.

He must wrap this warmth around him.

He must lean into this light.

Ignoring the darkness just around the corner.

Ciel: well that was just sad.

Me: what do you mean?

Ciel: SEBASTIAN BARELY DID ANYTHING DIRTY TO ME!

Me: -Wriggles eyebrows- oh yes he did. I just didn’t write it.

Ciel: oh COME ON. I read your Levi x Eren. They got more dirty then us! And our anime is WAY better! I mean, rather watch a really sexy, rich boy and his adorable demon butler defeat evil then watch crazy teenagers fight titans and ‘oh Eren! You’re so sexy in titan form!’ AH! Seriously. Pick, woman.

Me: don’t be rude to other animes.

Eren: yeah! Your anime did no better then ours!

Ciel: -stares-

Me: when the hell did you get here!?

Eren: the fanfiction portal.

Me: . . .

Ciel: . . .

Me: okay then.

His Butler, Forgetting His Master (epilogue)

Hi guys! Yay! Happy to be back. I know it’s been like what. . .forever? so I’ve decided to finally update! Yay! And yeah. I’m ending this story. And before you all attempt to murder me, think about it; he isn’t a neko anymore so what the hell am I supposed to write about!? Anyway, I hope this satisfies you, and if it doesn’t, go ahead and kill me. I’ll take the mental pain. XD

Ciel: she honestly thinks she’s popular.

Me: I’M RIGHT HERE.

Ciel: you think I don’t know that?

Me: Ciel. . .

Ciel: you don’t know my middle name so you can’t yell at me like you do your sister

Me: DO YOU EVEN HAVE ONE!?

Ciel: now that I think about it. . .OH MY GOD. Sebastian! I don’t have a middle name!

Sebastian: and here I was thinking you were aware of that, Ciel-kun –

Me: BOTH OF YOU, TAKE IT OUTSIDE! TRYING TO GET IN THE ZONE HERE.

Ciel: yeah, yeah fine.

Few. Sorry. Anyway, enjoy this little lovey update.

Ignoring the feeling of being hated, Ciel lifted himself lifelessly out of bed, wanted to stay in it forever. Sebastian stood in the corner like a dark shadow of the past and Ciel flickered his eyes to the demon.

“Get me dressed?” he asked and Sebastian rolled his eyes.

“Yes, my lord.” He snapped and dressed the younger demon who bowed his head, letting his overgrown bangs fall in his face.

“Sebastian. . .”

“You should learn how to dress yourself, Master.” Angrily growled Sebastian. When he was done, Ciel’s arms fell limply to his sides and he turned to face the cold demon. Ever since Ciel had become a demon, Sebastian had relinquished all feelings for him, like they had never existed.  And what had the young demon done? Play the role of a Phantomhive. Continued as a demon. Ignored Sebastian’s coldness. But it was tearing him apart. He wanted to kiss him again. He wanted to feel his lover close to him. he hated being alone. Even though Sebastian was there, it was almost like he wasn’t.

“Sebastian. . .”

“Take my advice master. I think it might help.” He said growing more irritated.

“Sebastian –“

“Ciel, I don’t want to talk to you right now so shut up and get out of my sight!” shouted Sebastian and Ciel cringed away from Sebastian and ran from his room. He couldn’t bring himself to care enough if he had actually hurt Sebastian. He ran through the halls and into the kitchen where he thought he was safe. Then Snake came into the kitchen, his entire body giving him away because of the snakes around his limbs hissing and Ciel hid further into the cabinet.

“Master Phantomhive, I can smell you, says Oscar.” Said Snake, bending down to see Ciel crouched in the corner his knees up to his chest, feeling awful. They had tried to make Snake stop talking through his snakes but he was unable to.

“Please come out, says. . .says Snake.” Said Snake, squeezing his eyes shut. Ciel smiled weakly at the footman for trying.

“No. Sebastian told me he didn’t want to see me.” muttered Ciel, frowning again. Snake frowned.

“That isn’t like Mister Sebastian, says Keats.” He explained, kneeling down to Ciel’s level. Ciel averted his eyes to the corner of the tiny space he was in.

“Yeah, well it isn’t really the same around here is it?” muttered Ciel. It was true. Nobody but the demons lived in the old Phantomhive manor now these days. The servants, all being released of their services once they believed Ciel to be dead, had gone off to live their lives. Mey-rin married a nice man and had a son and was living in downtown London. Finny works at the shipyard where he’s very helpful carrying boxes and crates and is engaged to a pretty girl from Yorkshire. Bard found work in the military, training younger soldiers and often visits Finny and Mey-rin. All was happy around the manor. Now it sat on it’s hill, as quiet as a ghost castle. People say it’s haunted because they see lights on and shadows.

Snake glanced pitifully at Ciel before straightening up and offered his hand.

“Come on, Master. We’re going to see some old friends, says Wordsworth.” Sighed Snake and Ciel took his outstretched hand and walked out of the kitchen. Together the two made their way down the hall and outside where Snake took off his jacket and advised Ciel to do the same.

“We’re running. We’ll never get there in the time we want with using modern transportation, says Emily.” Said Snake and the two demons raced towards their destination. Ciel followed obediently, wondering where the hell they were going, they stopped after about ten minutes in front of an oh so familiar manor. Then the person Ciel hoped never to see again came running from the door.

“CIIIIIIEEELLLL!” shouted Alois. (I bet I just made half of you gasp. No?) Ciel sighed and felt the blonde’s body come smashing into his as they embraced.

“Oh, Ciel, darling! It’s been so long since we’ve seen each other! I mean, I kinda died and then I was brought back by. . .hm, I think it was Sebastian actually that brought me back. But I was already a demon.” Smiled Alois and Ciel felt a pain hit him at the mention of Sebastian.

“Something wrong, Ciel?” asked Alois and Ciel shook his head.

“No. Sebastian and I . . .we aren’t on good terms at the moment.” Muttered Ciel and Alois looked sad for him.

“Well, if it makes you feel better, I’m only living with Hannah and the triplets. Claude truly died.” Alois sighed and Ciel looked up sadly at the blonde.

“I’m sorry, er, Alois. That must’ve been tough.” Mumbled Ciel. Alois nodded with a little ‘nm’ .

“Alois?” asked Ciel, an idea popping into his mind. He curled up his fists, and knew what he was going to ask.

“Hm?”

“Do you still have that demon sword that Hannah had?” asked Ciel through clenched teeth. Alois thought for a bit and nodded, leading him into the manor. Up the stairs and down the hall, third door on the right sat the demon sword in all it’s glory. The tip had touched and killed many including Claude Faustus. Now it will kill another. Ciel walked towards it, wrapping his pale hands around it’s hilt and smiled. His last wish was for Sebastian to be unhappy. This was his last action in hopes of fulfilling that wish.

“Ciel, Ciel what are you doing. . .!?” exclaimed Alois. Blood colored tears poured from the once beautiful blue orbs on Ciel Phantomhive’s face as he turned around to face the Trancy, his lips forming a perfect smile. Not a smirk. Not a creepy smile. Just a smile. A content smile. A happy smile, as he lifted the demon sword and aimed it to his chest.

“CIEL!” cried a voice that wasn’t Alois’s. It was Sebastian’s. The butler appeared just In time to watch as his precious little earl mumbled his last words of farewell and plunged the demon sword through his broken heart.

The last words forming at his lips.

His final breath.

Three words.

I love you.

I Love You More Than Words Can Say

A/N

So. . .writers write Kuroshitsuji, SebastianxCiel fan fictions all the time, right? I mean. . .i have. . .but they're missing something. They're missing something real. If Sebastian really did love Ciel and Ciel really loved Sebastian, it wouldn't be Yaoi sex all the time. It'd be holding hands. Hugging. Laughing. Kissing. It wouldn't be those smutty, Yaoi-y things. (I'm not saying I don't like them I mean like I said I wrote one myself) but I want to read about TRUE love. I'm sorry if I offended anyone I really am. And you can comment about me being a bitch all you want. I'm just trying to say if you were thinking this would be a sexy, smutty fan fiction, your wrong.

 that's all I'm saying! Please don't hate me! X_X

This story is dedicated to Demonhuntress0619 because she’s my best friend and we were watching Black Butler the other day and she was like “I so see how you ship them!” and requested this story. May contain smut, I honestly don’t know yet.

That is all.

His Master, Shopping

CIELS POV

I stared out the window, not being about to stand the awkward silence that hung ever so deeply in the carriage as we headed into sleepy, foggy London. A place even I despised yet adored. So much excitement and danger in one filthy city. The city was practically soaked to the brim with blood yet the Londoners still thrive under its dark skies.

I looked at Sebastian who wasn't looking at me, thankfully, and crossed my legs. I tightened my grip on my cane and retuned my bored gaze out the window once more. Sebastian was admiring a dust bunny under the seat and fingering his tailcoat.

We'd already gone over the Queen's letter about a hundred times and now I didn't know what to talk about. I knew exactly what he wanted to talk about. My birthday.

It was coming up again and I knew he'd want to discuss a party. I wasn't in the mood nor did I think I would ever be in the mood to talk about a troublesome event like the day of my retched birth. I was born to die alone. Why celebrate that?

"Bocchan," sighed Sebastian. I looked up. "Please keep the negative thoughts to yourself. I find them rather discouraging."

"Tch." Was all I answered. If i wanted to think negatively about my horrid life, then he had no place to interrupt me.

"I only meant that it isn't good for your mental health, my Lord. Do excuse my rudeness." He said smiling. I frowned deeper.

"We're almost in London anyway and I don't feel like getting a migraine from those two Indians so do you think we could get home in time for dinner? I have no interest in staying overnight." I said. He smiled.

"Of course, young master." He said simply as we rolled into the damned city I loved so much.

As we rumbled along the cobblestone streets, I couldn't help but notice the people rummaging in the shadows. So much pain and loneliness in their eyes as they watched nobility like myself ride happily along. I felt a pang of guilt as I smiled at their filth but quickly returned to glaring out the window. A child was running along the street, waving to everyone and smiling. He was around 9 or 10 with soft brown hair and light green eyes. I kept watching him as he ran into a lady and fell over, spilling the money he had collected that day.

"Watch where you step, you filthy rat!" She screamed and I watched, horrified as she shoved him into the street. I watched, and did nothing as his little body shattered with a blood curling scream under a passing coach.

I slammed the curtain closed with one hand and had the other over my mouth.

"Bocchan-" Sebastian said startled, grabbing my arm.

"Shut up." I muttered, and turned around to see three older men carry the boy's body away, blood flowing from his moth and his dead eyes rolling back into his skull.

I pulled my knees up to my chest and put my head in between my knees to try and stop the nausea.

"Young Master." I felt a hand on my head and looked up to see the concerned face of Sebastian.

"Don't pity me, Sebastian." I mumbled and returned to swallowing bile.

"If you aren't feeling well, young master, then we could always go home -"

"No." I said waving his petty concerns away. "I'm a Phantomhive. I can't turn home just because of a simple death."

"Of a child only a bit younger then yourself. Do not push yourself." He said and I gripped my knees.

"Just -"

"Your knuckles are white." He said lifting my hands off my knees and placing them at my sides. I looked into his orange-red eyes and sighed.

"I suppose you're right." I muttered crossing my arms. "I apologize for loosing my composure. Let us change the subject."

He nodded.

"Where exactly do you wish to go to fulfill her Majesty's wishes? Or are we simply going to annoy The Yard?" Asked Sebastian smiling slightly.

"I want to visit them, yes, but then I'd like to see the bodies at the Undertakers and maybe talk to Lou over lunch then search the crime scene for any new motives and make it back by dinner." I said.

He looked up and frowned.

“We have a huge time gap. How do you plan on filling it?” he asked. I blushed.

“You may do whatever it is you wish to. I have my own desires.” I said slightly embarrassed at the fact I needed new underwear. Good thing I kept that thought hidden though. He raised an eyebrow.

“What is it you wish to engage yourself with, Bocchan?” he asked. I hide my beat red face.

“Nothing.”

“My Lord, I don’t like you keeping secrets from me.”

“It’s. . .boy stuff.”

He frowned.

“’Boy stuff?’”

“Y-yeah –“

he chuckled softly.

“Oh. You mean, growing boy stuff.” He said eyeing me. I shoved my tomato face into the curtain.

“Shut up!” I shouted and head him laugh.

“My deepest apologies my lord. But being male myself, why can’t I accompany you? You don’t have a father figure either. It’d be advisable to consult me with any questions.”

Damn. He was trying to make me talk about . . .feelings.

“Have you ever had butterflies in your stomach when you see someone special –“

“Just be quiet, Sebastian!” I yelled. He knew he’d taken it too far. He smiled.

“I’m sorry my lord.”

We walked into the Undertaker’s shop and was greeted with blinding darkness. Only one or two candles were burning low on the walls. Sebastian, after telling his god-awful joke, explained our situation to the shinigami.

“Hmmm.” He said tapping his chin.

“It seems to us that the bodies of the young woman should be with you.” Said Sebastian. The gray lunatic laughed heartily and walked over to three small coffins.

“Here we are.” He said tapping the door open. There, lying dead, was a small blond girl. She looked Irish with dark red hair and soft pale skin. I would’ve thought she was very pretty until I saw her eye sockets. There wasn’t anything in them.

“What happened to her eyes?” I asked.

“You see, the killer, ‘e has a very unusual way of killin’ ‘em. He pokes the little pretty eyes out, reaching their brains and kills ‘em that way.” Said the Undertaker opening the other coffins. The two other little girls were in the same condition. I noticed something on the third. She was taller then the others with raven hair and had a very small dress on. There, I could see her collarbone where I noticed dark purple bruises or rather . . .

“Rape.” I whispered. The Undertaker laughed again.

“You ‘ave a sharp eye, my lord. Yes. They experienced great amounts of assault before death.” He answered chuckling. Well, that rules out Grell. I tapped my chin.

“Any suspects?” I asked remembering our trip to the Yard.

“Aw Sir Arthur. Any leads?” I asked walking up with Sebastian. Aberline and Sir Arthur were standing at the crime scene where a splatter of blood was visible on the wall. I smiled as Sir Arthur glared at me through his spectacles.

“Oh. It’s you.” He growled. Aberline turned around and smiled.

“Good morning, Lord Phantomhive.” He said and gulped when he saw Sebastian behind me. “And you too, Mr. Michaelis.”

I chuckled.

“So. Answering my previous question.” I said growing bored. Sir Arthur rustled through his papers and handed them to Aberline.

“Nothing.” He muttered softly.

“Thought as much.” I said amused. A woman shot forward then and grabbed my arm. She had long black hair and wide green eyes.

“How does this little boy get to go near the crime scene and a victims mother can’t!? if you knew my daughter personally, maybe in some intimate way –“

“Unhand my young master, please.” Sighed Sebastian taking the woman’s wrist.

“Hush, servant –“

“Please ma’am. as you might not know, the person you are handling so rudely is of high rankings. May I present to you, Lord Ciel Phantomhive. Personal guard dog for her majesty and the earl of Phantomhive along with the owner of the Funtom Company.” Said Sebastian and the woman gasped and fell to her knees in a bow.

“My deepest apologies, my Lord. Please forgive my rudeness! It’s just. . .my daughter was a victim –“

“I understand. Well, since there is nothing you can tell us, we better get going. Sebastian! Escort this woman safely to that café and prepare the carnage for the Undertaker’s.” I snapped.

“Yes, My Lord. Of course.” Said Sebastian taking the woman across the street, soothing her along.

“Nope. No suspects so far. We know it isn’t a grim reaper nor is it a demon.” Said the Undertaker glancing at Sebastian. So. . .not Claude and Alois. . .

“So it’s someone completely human?” I asked. He nodded.

“You’re dealin’ with a good ole fashion murderer.” He said chuckling. I clicked my tongue.

“Fine. We’ll put in further investigation. Thank you for your help.” I said bitterly and left while the Undertaker was whining about me skipping out on fitting my coffin. I knew now that, that day would eventually come. Sebastian would eat my soul and I would die. Lizzie, widowed, Prince Soma, friendless. Sebastian, master less but full. He would be happy. He would be oh so happy to devour my soul –

“Master, you are completely aware that I can listen to your thoughts so please contain them.” He said sourly. I snarled as we rode off towards the tailors.

I gulped and walked in. there was no one there besides us and the little lady who ran the place. She had been recently married but her husband was no where to be seen and her herself was drooping off into sleep out of boredom until we walked in.

“L-lord Phantomhive! How good it is to see you again, dear! oh and I see you brought a friend! Who’s this fine young man!?” she asked waking herself up and pulling her Scottish red hair into a messy bun.

“This is my butler, Sebastian Michaelis. He insisted on coming since he has nothing else to do.” I said simply. The woman nodded.

“Well. What is it this time? New hat? Coat? Boots?”

“U-undercloths.” I muttered quietly. She nodded then glanced at Sebastian then back at me. then she laughed.

“Oh silly me! I know that your butler has seen you before so we’ll be fine!” she said ushering me into the fitting room. She had me strip down to my underwear and stand on the little pedestal. I blushed as Sebastian removed all my cloths and sat awkwardly on the little bench as the little woman came back with her measuring tape.

“Time for measuries!” she said in a kiddy voice that got on my nerves. Sebastian snorted and I glared.

“Shut up.” I growled at him.

“My apologies, my lord. You look oh so menacing in your underwear.” He said chuckling some more.

“Please don’t tease me, Sebastian.” I snapped as she took my hip measurements. She bit her lip.

“My lord, we’re going to have to measures your inner thighs. Please remove your underwear.” She said slightly embarrassed. I blushed a deep red and slipped off my underwear. I squeezed my eyes shut while she took the measurements. When I opened my eyes, Sebastian wasn’t phased to my relief but looked slightly embarrassed himself.

“All done!” she said helping me down from the pedestal and Sebastian shot forward to get me dressed. Once every article of clothing was back on my body, we ordered five new pairs and left the shop, my hiding my red face in my hand and Sebastian nearly jogging to keep up.

Once we were seated back in the carriage, I sat silently all the way home. Sebastian wasn’t even paying attention to me but was lost in thought. If only I could read his thoughts. I leaned my head against the window and slipped off to sleep.

His Master, Bedtime

I sat on my bed, kicking my legs over the side, waiting for Sebastian. It was time for me to take a bath. I sighed when he walked in and escorted me to the bathroom. He closed the door behind him and set the fluffy white towels on the counter. There was a large bathtub in the room and he had filled it with calmingly warm water. I stood in the middle of the bathroom as Sebastian silently started to undress me. I looked away, as I usually did and he led me over to the tub where he lifted me up and I slid into the water. Sebastian started to prepare the soap while I let the warm water warm my frozen bones. Sebastian rolled up his sleeves and dipped his hand into the water, wetting the soap in his hand. He started to clean me. first he did my back, then my shoulders, and my hair. I dipped under the water to wash out the shampoo and when I came back up, he was ready to do my lower body. I stood up and he cleaned, uh, around there, and my legs and feet. Once he was done, he left me soak.

I closed my eyes and let my thoughts wonder. I remembered way back to the first time Sebastian ever gave me a bath. It had been quiet awkward, I mean, I barely knew him and suddenly he had to see me naked and touch me. I yelped and shrieked many times out of embarrassment and spent the whole bath with my eyes closed. Now it was easier. We were closer and less awkward. But there’s still heat in my cheeks whenever he sees me naked. I had weirdly started to care more about him. my thoughts were somehow always looped back to the demon. Like, what is preparing for dinner? What does he think of my new coat? Does he have a mate in hell or something? It was strange how my thoughts could always be on the dark man that watched over me every minute of every day. I shrugged it off when I heard a crash from downstairs. I shot up my thoughts screaming, SEBASTIAN until I realized I was in a bathtub and slipped. I fell through the air and face planted on the bathroom floor my stomach hitting hard on the edge of the tub and the rest of my naked body sliding down the side.

I wasn’t going to cry. I wasn’t. I bit my lip and squeezed my eyes shut when I let out a low sob and that when the door flew open. It wasn’t Sebastian. It was Mey-rin.

“YOUNG MASTER!” she screamed and I turned my face away from her. I knew my lip was bleeding from where I cut it on a loose tile.

“J-just get Sebastian!” I snapped and breathed another sob cringing in pain as my stomach retracted. I retched and spat and Sebastian walked into the room and saw me lying naked and wet on the bathroom floor.

“Oh dear.” said Sebastian lifting my chin. Tears were running down my cheek and he wrapped a warm fluffy towel around my and lifted me into his arms.

“Now what’s with the tears, my lord?”

“I-it scared me.” I whispered cringing in pain as I curled up on my stomach. He looked down at my abdominal and saw a long purple and blue bruise forming where I had slammed into the tub. He wrapped me even tighter and pulled me closer to his chest.

“Why don’t we get you dried off and get you something to eat.” He said. I nodded and realized I was shaking. He carried my back into the hallway and the three servants were watching us.

“Is he alright?” asked Finny. I wiped off my eyes.

“Fine.” I mumbled turning my face away from his. He gave me a sympathetic look as Sebastian carried me back to my room. I dressed in warm cloths, that were my ‘comfy’ cloths which consisted of a simple blue waist coat, no overcoat and a simple black ribbon around my neck. He combed my hair out and smiled.

“Do you feel better now, my lord?” he asked. I looked at my shoes trying to ignore the pain swelling in my stomach. It wasn’t sick pain, just aching pain.

“Nuh uh.” I whispered under my breath. He sighed and wrapped his arms around my shoulder from behind me. it was a strange gesture only used in serious situations but I silently leaned into his embrace.

“Thank you, Sebastian.” I said and walked down to the dining room. I sat and ate my dinner quietly while the servants tried to cheer me up. I sat glumly as my abdominal pain seemed to worsen. Once I was finished, chewing my last bit of cake that Sebastian had made especially last minute to help me feel better. I stood up from the table and started to trudge off to bed when I felt Sebastian pick me up and carry me the rest of the way.

I crawled into bed, and Sebastian pulled the covers up to my chin. Today had been a rough day. I rolled over on my side and curled up into a little ball.

“Sebastian?” I asked quietly as he started to exit my room.

“Hm?” he asked turning around.

“Will you tell me a story to make me go to sleep? And not some crazy depressing story but a nice story that would make me feel better.” I asked. He set the candles on the nightstand and took up a seat next to my bed. I turned to face him as he cleared his throat.

“Once upon a time, there lived a man with shimmering blue hair and smart hazel eyes. Now this man was lonely you see. He needed someone. So he set out to find a wife. He found one who had long orange hair and sparkling blue eyes. They were very, very happy together. They thought that their love was the only thing they’d ever need. But something was missing. Something wasn’t quiet right. ‘A child.’ Said the wife. ‘I want us to have a child.’ She said and her husband gladly agreed that they needed a child.” Said Sebastian. I clutched my sheets and listened intently to his story. It was quite interesting.

“So they decided to try. They tried for months until the wife finally became pregnant with their first child. The husband was so very happy. He’d always wanted a son or a daughter to teach and care for. He knew that his child would be beautiful like it’s mother and he was more then happy as the months to the child’s birth neared. The child though decided to be born two months early. It was premature and slightly unhealthy but weighed a good 5 pounds and the doctors garenteed the child’s survival. The child was a boy with soft blue hair like his father and bright blue eyes like his mother. He always smiled. Always. And his father cared for him deeply. Taught him everything he knew. Taught him how to read big books and how to sail his very own ship. His mother also loved him very much. Teaching him how to be a gentlemen and how to be the perfect little sweetheart. And that concludes the story. I hope you sleep well, master.” Said Sebastian. I frowned.

“Well that isn’t fair. What happens to the family?” I asked. Sebastian looked thoughtfully at me.

“Think about the story and it’s characters. Then you shall find the true meaning of it’s ending.” He said sadly and watched me think. I felt a jolt in my heart.

“Father.” I whispered. I gripped the blankets and let a tear fall out of my eye.

“I’m so sorry if I made you upset.” Sebastian said slightly paniced. But I wiped my eyes and smiled.

“No, Sebastian. It was a lovely story. Thank you.” I said and he smiled. He walked to the door and was about to leave when I shuddered.

“Wait.” I said softly. “Stay with me.”

he sighed and took his seat again.

“No.” I said shaking my head. He looked confused.

“Sit on the bed.” I said blushing. I just wanted him near me. he was my only protection. I wanted to feel safe and the only way I could really feel safe was if he was right next to me, watching over me. He smiled softly, blowing out the candles and sat on the edge of my bed. I sighed and nestled into the covers.

Thank you, Sebastian.

For staying with me, and being my protection.

His Master, Thinking

I sat up in bed, feeling a sharp pain in my abdominal. I sighed and went to throw the covers off me when I felt something tugging them down. I looked up to see Sebastian, asleep against one of my bedposts, snoring softly. I gasped slightly and I gazed at his perfect sleeping face, blushing a deep shade of red. He’d really fallen asleep in my bed!? I stood up, obviously nothing I could do, and crabbed a knitted blanket from a nearby chair and draped it over him. he seemed dead asleep. Demons didn’t need sleep, I knew this, but he did it on occasion for his own amusement. But he’d never fallen this much asleep. He looked so relaxed. His posture was hunched and his mouth hung open, a slight drop of drool pouring down his chin. His hair was tousled and his breath came out in little snores.

I smiled and dressed myself as best I could. I walked downstairs to see Mey-rin curiously eying me.

“Uh, m-master?” she asked timidly holding her broom. I glanced up.

“Where’s mister Sebastian?” she asked.

I smiled.

“He was waiting till I fell asleep last night and fell asleep himself. He’s alright though. Leave him. he needs the rest. He’ll be taking the day off.” I said and walked towards Snake who was eyeing me.

“Mister Sebastian? Taking a day off? Says Keats.” He asked. I nodded. I walked down the stairs and decided, since Sebastian was sleeping, to skip out on meals and lessons for today. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed some bread and cheese and packed myself my own picnic. I then took a blanket outside  and laid down in the garden, taking out the picnic and a book. It was one of Arthur’s novels. About Sherlock Holmes. I loved how his character was based off Sebastian. It made me think that Sebastian was Sherlock and I was Watson. Except, I’m a lot braver and more intelligent and younger than Watson.

I sat down and read a recent novel, ‘Study in Scarlet,’ which I had read more than ten times. So there I sat, like the old days, under the bright sun under the shade of the oak tree and read. I remembered when me and my father would do this. He would gather up all the books he could and bring them outside while mother prepared a picnic for us. Then we’d sit under a tree just like this one and read for hours. My grip tightened on the novel as my throat began to swell. No. I told myself and did the same thing I’d done for years. Resisted tears. I should write a book on ‘How to Not Cry 101 by 13 year old expert, Ciel Phantomhive.’ I made myself laugh there. i returned to my book, and the breeze and sunlight were so right, that I ended up drifting off into a cat nap.

I woke up to see Sebastian above me. the sky was gorgeous shades of purple and orange as night neared and the stars and moon became the perfect background for my butler as he stood like a beautiful constellation over me.

“Young master? Why didn’t you wake me?” asked Sebastian, helping me off the ground and gathering up my picnic.

“You looked too peaceful. And I’ve never seen you sleep that soundly.” I said as we walked towards the manor.

“If you’re still tired, I could carry you.” Smiled Sebastian.  I blushed but had to admit I was tired.

“Fine.” I said as I felt Sebastian’s arms encircle me, balancing the picnic basket and blanket on his head. I wrapped my arms around his neck and snuggled into his chest, taking in a deep breath, breathing in his perfect smell. We walked into the manor and he continued to walk up the steps, the servants giving me their annoying ‘aws!’ and ‘bocchan’s so cute!’ we walked up the stairs and he set me on my bed, undressing me and changing me into my pajamas. Once I was changed, I crawled into bed, and nestled myself under the covers.

Sebastian blew out the candles and resumed his position against the bed post. I then did something I’d never thought I’d ever do. I crawled across the bed sheets and set my head in his lap. It was such a weird feeling, but I was more relaxed than I’d ever been. He smiled, and took his hand and combed my hair. I blushed furiously.

“Don’t misinterpret this. I simply want to feel safe.” I muttered.

“Yes, my lord.” He said. I sighed and felt the blankets being wrapped around us both and I snuggled into the warmth of Sebastian, surrounded by the fluffy blankets. I inhaled again, taking in his scent and slowly fell asleep.

When I woke up in the morning, Sebastian was in the same position but awake, still combing my hair. I had to admit, it was really nice. I curled up against this warmth that was Sebastian and smiled.

Right here.

Right now.

I was truly happy. I was wrapped in the biggest shield ever. I felt the safest. I felt I could relax. So I did. I lowered my guard and slipped towards my mattress, feeling Sebastian’s soft hands combing back my hair.

He reminded me of my father. Father always let me sleep in their bed if I was scared and laying here now, in Sebastian’s embrace was almost like my father was telling me to give in to the safety. To embrace my smile. To welcome back feelings of security. Of course, my hatred still ran hard and strong through my veins and I would never let that go but all the doubts and fears in my life seemed to slip away, leaving this wonderful warmth behind. I didn’t feel cold anymore.

I felt a wonderful light, circling us both and telling me it was okay to lay there. it was okay to let him comb my hair. It was okay to embrace the warmth.

We lied there, wrapped in ourselves for the longest time. Until Sebastian sighed.

“I’m sorry, young master, but it’s time to get ready.” Said Sebastian, prodding my back. I gave him a sound of annoyance and sat up, ready for the day. I couldn’t help thinking about the warmth.

What was it?

It reminded me of something faint, but I couldn’t place it. It wasn’t joy, because that feeling is giddy and bubbly not cool and nice feeling. Maybe happiness. No. that was cheesy smiling and weird giggling. God, what was it?

I ignored it and walked downstairs. My day passed in a blur and we decided to take a visit to London to pick up my underwear.

And there it was.

Right in front of me.

The thing that was the warmth.

That was so faint.

I realized as we were riding back to the manor at night. I kept seeing couples, happy and saw their eyes sparkling and they looked truly happy. I gasped. Blushing. I grabbed my face with my hand.

No.

No.

It wasn’t.

But it was.

It was exactly what the warmth was.

I realized then and there that the warmth. . .

 . . .was love.

His Master, Dealing With the Emotion ‘Love’

I cupped a hand over my mouth to stop the sound of my gasp.

l-love?

For Sebastian?

Of all people? Sebastian? Who was currently driving the coach. I screamed out of frustration and gripped my hair with my hands. I pulled my legs up to my chest and shook my head. I couldn’t be in love with Sebastian. What the hell is wrong with me!? I’m meant to be with Lizzy. . .yeah. . . .Lizzy. . . dumb bitch.

nothing will ever compare to my smoking hot sexy piece of demon. I thought happily. But Sebastian’s a demon. And demon’s don’t love. They have the ability to feel passion but never love. It just wasn’t in their vocabulary. It wasn’t in mine either. Nope. I was pushing the damned word out the window. Which would zoom past the coach and hit Sebastian and bounce back to me. FUCK.

All I could think about now was Sebastian. His hair, his eyes, his soft touch. Oh my god, I slept with him the past two nights! What the hell is wrong with me!? I had to break this. Somehow. Convince myself I wasn’t in love, let alone homosexual. Nope.  Ugh that would never happen. Sebastian is around me 24/7. Day and night. He’s like a stocker that lives with you. . .never mind.

I focused my attention to the streets of London, my eye twitching and wide. Find something else to think about. Find something else. Find something else. Find something –

“SEBASTIAN!” I shouted as we hit a huge pothole and I went flying across the carriage. Then I realized we weren’t in London anymore. We were already coming down the long drive towards the manor. Ugh, keeping track of time was such a bore. I straightened up and reassembled my hair and watched as the manor came closer into view, the soft light pooling out of it making it look like a nice place. No one knew it was home to a demon butler, a half demon footman who spoke with snakes, a maid with the eyes of a devil, a garden boy with super strength, a cook with amazing shooting skills and survived war, and a homosexual Earl who had a thing for older demon men. His friends consisted of his fiancé, a flouncy blonde slut who wore more pink than a flamingo, a drug smuggler from China, and three, annoying shinigami.

I shoved my face into my hands. How did my life get like this? It seems like almost yesterday I was sitting on Madam Red’s lap while she taught me how to play chess. Where did it all go wrong? Oh that’s right. I had the wit to summon a demon. Slow clap for me.

And now I was in love with him. utterly and deeply. Something that couldn’t be stopped nor ignored.

“Young master? Are you alright?” asked a voice and my head snapped to the side to see the sexy demon himself standing at the door of the carriage smiling down at me with that smile has haunted my dreams. I laughed nervously and accepted his hand.

“Y-yes. Why would you assume I wasn’t alright?” I stuttered as I walked ahead of him to the manor. My cheeks were flushed a dangerous red and I quickly sped up the stairs and into my study. Sighing, I sat myself in my seat and banged my head down on the wood of my desk. Ugh.

I heard a soft knock on the door and I knew instantly it was Sebastian.

“My Lord? Would you like some dinner?” asked Sebastian.

“No. it’s alright. I’ll just have some tea and then bed.” I said and I waited for Sebastian to answer.

“Master, you should eat something.” He said through the door.

“Alright fine.” I said rather annoyed and Sebastian entered with an already full tray of food. I ate in silence and after that set off to bed. Sebastian dressed dressed me and I crawled under the covers and buried my face in the pillows. I wasn’t in love. I wasn’t in love. I wasn’t.

But I was.
